The Kingston joins Magnatone’s Traditional Collection as a new yet familiar voice designed to be a true go-to workhorse amp. Hand-built and made in the USA, it delivers classic American tone with the unmistakable Magnatone feel, balancing vintage character with modern reliability for stage, studio, and home use.
Powered by two 12AX7 preamp tubes and a pair of 6V6 power tubes, the Kingston produces 12 watts of push-pull output through a Magnatone Custom 12-inch ceramic speaker. Its clean, responsive voice offers a creamy yet bouncy feel that stays articulate and musical across a wide range of volumes, making it equally suited for recording sessions and live club performances.
Developed in collaboration with Chief Engineer Obeid Khan and legendary guitar technician Larry Cragg, the Kingston was designed to deliver a vintage-inspired sound in a compact format that professionals can rely on. Featuring High and Low inputs, simple Volume, Treble, Bass, and Reverb controls, Accutronics Digi-Log spring-style reverb, footswitchable reverb on and off, an external speaker output, and a 1/4-inch line out, the Kingston is a flexible and dependable amplifier finished in Magnatone’s Traditional Collection cosmetics.
