An American singer and television host who enjoyed success in the country and Western, pop, and gospel musician genres. Noted for his rich bass-baritone voice and down-home humor, he is remembered for his hit recordings of “The Shotgun Boogie” and his version of “Sixteen Tons”.

Ford was inducted into the Gospel Music Association’s Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1994. In his performances, Tennessee Ernie Ford is one of the many artists who used the ​Vintage Model 280 ​by Magnatone USA.
