The Purple Python cosmetic was designed in collaboration with Slash, drawing from his personal stage aesthetic and sense of detail. Hand-selected black and deep-purple snakeskin tolex, gold piping, and coordinated hardware create a finish that is bold without excess. A gold-anodized faceplate with Slash’s Skully emblem completes the design, carrying a unified visual identity across the SL-100 and Baby M-80 while leaving each amplifier’s original circuit design untouched.

Two legendary Magnatone gain structures in one footswitchable Purple Python powerhouse.
The Super Fifty-Nine Purple Python edition unites two of Magnatone’s most celebrated voicings in a single, footswitchable amplifier. Wrapped in black-and-purple snakeskin tolex with gold piping, black matrix grille cloth, and Slash’s Skully emblem on a gold-anodized
faceplate, its look is bold yet refined and designed to stand out on stage.
At its core, this 45-watt amplifier is powered by EL34 tubes, delivering the warm, harmonically rich response of the MKII’s low-to-medium gain voice alongside the added edge and saturation of the MKI. A front-panel switch or included footswitch allows instant switching between the two gain structures, while a tube-buffered effects loop preserves clarity when using pedals or external processors. A British-voiced tone stack with treble, middle, bass, master, and presence controls provides precise, responsive shaping.
Handbuilt in St. Louis under the guidance of engineer Obeid Khan, each Purple Python Super Fifty-Nine M-80 can be paired with a matching 2×12 cabinet loaded with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers and includes curated picks and stickers. From classic British bite to modern saturation, it offers a versatile tonal platform in a visually striking package.
