The Chrome Grape cosmetic was designed in collaboration with Billy Gibbons, reflecting his unmistakable style and flair for bold stage aesthetics. Deep grape vinyl covering, polished chrome hardware, and coordinated trim create a finish that is striking without excess. A chrome faceplate with Billy Gibbons’ signature completes the design, carrying a unified visual identity across the Super Fifty-Nine M-80, Baby M-80, and Super Fifteen while leaving each amplifier’s original circuit design untouched.
The Billy Gibbons Collection Chrome Grape Super Fifty-Nine M-80 brings the MK I and MK II together in one amplifier.
This 45-watt, EL34-driven design combines the low to medium gain range of the MK II with the added gain stage of the MK I, accessible from the front panel or footswitch. The result is a direct, open response with a clear signal path and no vibrato, focused on raw tone and control.
Voiced with classic British character, the M-80 moves easily between low and high gain modes, giving players flexibility without getting in the way. Finished in Chrome Grape, it reflects Gibbons’ approach both visually and sonically.
